Entrepreneurial Accelerator Program (EAP) company RNvention will pitch to a panel of experts in the New Orleans Entrepreneur Week Get Started competition March 22.
Wayne Nix, RNvention cofounder with Dawn Nix, will be one of five entrepreneurs to compete for more than $10,000 in prizes, including a one year Cox Business technology package.
RNvention, based in Shreveport, is a medical startup with a timesaving device that stands to make nurses’ jobs easier and more efficient.
RNvention’s technologies are to address the needs of frontline medical personnel. Its first product, the MultiNix, is a device designed to assist in bedside patient care, combining several tools into one and introducing new ones nurses often find themselves needing.
The 7-inch MultiNix device has more than 15 features and, with input from actual clinicians, addresses inefficiencies in the healthcare industry.
The Nixes hope to put the tool into the hands of every nurse in America.
RNvention is a past finalist of the Louisiana Startup Prize competition, and one of 27 EAP portfolio companies.
